Recently (march 22nd) a very awesome conference on Artificial Intelligence has been held in Japan: the 4th Cognitive Science and Entertainment Symposium at University of Electro-Communication in Tokyo.
Not only was it awesome because it featured a showmatch of Japanese Warsow-stars bluespear and fumio, but even more because Mr. Akira Mizukami presented his work on 'Human like AI player for Warsow' - as my understanding of Japanese is very limited, I'll quote Warsow Dev Guwashi on the translation:
"using machine learning method based on neural network to improve BOT's behavior. I heard the author made a mod to record all human players actions (Test players are bluespear and fumio :)), and he input those data to neural network as learning data to let BOT act like human."
Doesn't that sound nice? :). Now we've been told the source of this project will probably turn up online sooner or later, so stay tuned for more!
Now, for some additional reading and info:
- Forum thread (check out first post for some links)
- Guwashi's photos
- Yu Matsui's blog post on the symposium (with videos!)
hhhhhhhhhhI guess some euro will start a server with this too when the source gets released.
ETRPretty awesome, can't wait for the mod to be released (to at least take a look :p). Recently some of my classmates did a project with Q2 neural network bot-code and it was pretty... interesting :P
Koochican we have an english explanation of using neural networks in wsw ? References, sites, pdf or so :)
