Alt-Tab switching on Linux

For Windows ist's possible to de-/activate alt-tab switching in the menu. is there any possibility to activate alt-tab switching for linux (ubuntu 6.06, gnome 2.14)

no. you can
-use alt+enter to toggle fullscreen (this loads the map again)
-run wsw on an second xserver and switch between them with alt+ctrl f7/ f8 for example
-run wsw in windowed mode, then alt+tab should work, if you roll down the console (thats the thing i use)
-use the prog "etswitch" that binds a hotkey and minimizes fullscreen-3d-apps. the drawback of this is, that you have dga-mouse disabled. while that is no problem for quake3 for example, warsow doesn't perform well with non-dga-mouseinput

I use the second xserver trick. In kde there is an option, where you can switch to an other user(i don't no what's the name exactly, I use the hungarian version). Open a new session, login using a light window manager(twm, fluxbox etc.) or 'Failsafe', open a console and run Warsow.

I knew the option using a second X-Server before, but thanks anyway. The problem with this is, that everytime I switch back to the wsw-x-server there is only the wsw-console instead of the game itself. (I start the game using 'startx ./warsow -- :1').

What works for me is changing to windowmode using alt-enter, open the console and voila the cursor can get out of the warsow window and alt-tab works fine ^^

switched from second x-server to alt+enter, dunno why exactly, it's more work to go back to the DE :P

I use IceWM. I start Warsow in Non-Fullscreen Mode and then I press F11 to get a fullscreen window. Pressing F11 again, toogles back to Non-Fullscreen. By opening the console I'm able to switch my Workspaces or Windows...
