Guide to war§ow dedicated server (Windows) by Julien 'feTzu' Bono

Requirements :

· A server running Windows
· An internet connection with at least xxxko/s(?) UPSTREAM !
· The "Admin" rights on your router if you are using one
· 10 minutes !

Step 1: Getting Warsow !

Download the lastest warsow version, at-time here
and unRAR it using WinRAR or 7-ZIP

Step 2: Create the shortcut

Do the following:














Step 3: The config !

First off, start warsow as a client (just click on qfusion.exe) in order to create the "basic config". Then, just go in the /basewsw folder and open qfconfig.cfg. There are useful vars for your server:

· seta sv_hostname "Your server name HERE!" < This set's your server name
· seta rconpassword "yoursecretpassword" < the "rcon" password, this password is used to control the server from a connected client
· seta sv_maxclients "12" < The max. number of players in your server
· seta sv_allowdownload "1" < set to 1 if you want to allow clients downloading maps from your server, useful if you run "unnoficial/custom" maps. Set to 0 to disable downloading
· seta sv_reconnectlimit "3" < The max. tries for a client to reconnect

Step 4: The Ports!

Skip this step if you are not using a router/firewall or if you disabled it on your router

Go to PortForward.com to find help on your particular router.

The ports to unlock to be completed:

· 27911 - UDP

Step 5: whatismyip.com ?

Find-out your ip in less than a second clicking here!

Step 6: and now ? =)

Now simply start it clicking on the shortcut you have created, a funny MS-DOS windows opens ? Yeah, it works !

i started a win ded server @ 212.112.249.4 @ 10mbit/s

can u try ² connect? i´m @ work ;)

config is standard, i only changed the servername :)

Works well, I got a rather nice ping on there. :]

perfect :) if the server is online , warsow ded should also run ;)

it needs less ressources :) nice game^^ 4mb on ram :D

maybe you could up date this w§w SERVER explanation!
