I think i know where the problem the opengl32.dll in C:\Windows.old\...

It's a problem with graphics drivers/windows. If you're getting this error with Warsow, most likely any Quake3- based game won't start either.

But I have latest drivers and full Windows 7 version... How, then, may be problem?
Opengl is loaded through the drivers. Maybe the drivers are not the
right drivers.
Windows says "Most suitable software for this device (Videocard)
already installed"
I have official windows 7 driver so i think its right driver. And
it should open the opengl correctly.
By the way , I can not reinstall Windows because that computer is
not only my((

This is your first mistake. Windows's built in driver search tool doesn't find the most recent ones. You have to go to the ATI website in your case.
Basically, the above means nothing.
Do I need to delete previous driver to install this? If yes, how?
IT WORKS!!!! Fu#!*ng device manager, thanks guys and thanks google
translator)
It's just that microsoft can't really distribute other people's
software afaik.
Hey, guys. I'm getting the same issue and I've tried everything I
can think of. I've updated the drivers for the graphics card (it's
an ATI Mobility card on a laptop). I've used the third party Modder
to install the latest drivers with Catalyst and that didn't work.
I've tried it without the Modder and that didn't work either. I
have the latest drivers that I can get, both with modded files and
without, and nothing works. Tried every fix applicable to my
situation mentioned here, nothing works. I looked in the system32
folder for opengl32.dll and sure enough, it's there, tried copying
it to the warsow root folder and it still doesn't work. I know for
a fact that this laptop can handle Warsow (it can handle Mass
Effect 2 pretty well lol)
Any ideas? At all? I loved playing this a couple of years ago with my (way worse) computer and I wanted to get back into it now that 0.5 is finally released, but this gets in the way (on a much better computer, even. Funny how stuff works). I know it's been repeatedly said that all the known fixes are in the topic, but I just want to ask one last time before finally giving up on playing this game :(

I just recently re-installed windows. Tried to run warsow (without
re-installing it) and it gives me the same message. This only
happens with the portable exe, and only on 0.5 (0.42 is fine). So
it works fine withe standard exe. Can someone please look into
this? Is there a path variable that needs setting up? Drivers is
clearly not the issue here...
