I'm a bit confused on that too. I try searching for matches to play, and nothing is showing up. Am I doing something wrong?
@Phantom:
mIRC is an IRC client used for chatting.
If you're unable to see games in the server list, try changing your filters? Possibly you're searching for local (LAN) or games that you've added to your favorites list.

I'm really lost. All I'm trying to do is find an opponent (or opponents).
EDIT: I didn't even know what an IRC client was til now. I still don't know how to use it.

Well, now i'm confused. :)
If you're attempting to join a game, install Warsow, start Warsow, click the 'join game' button at the top of the main menu, and then click the 'search' button at the bottom of the server list. When you can see some servers, click one of them to join the game.
If you're trying to get in contact with potential players, then you could use IRC. It seems to me that you're wanting to join a game though.

How long does it take for the server list to load?
EDIT: btw sorry for being a pain. I'm just really new and really lost in how to find a match. I've pretty much figured out everything else about how it works though.
if your trying to find servers with 0.5 rc1 then its normal you
cant seen any servers as the browser doesnt work. if its 0.42,
check your firewall or your router.

cool, i cant wait to get better at this game. I feel i have a lot
to contribute
Awesome Game.
Way too mental for me so offline ai mode is plenty a challenge for me thanks.
Graphics are really cool, a bit diff to what i'm used to and it's free and it works On utuntu. Sweet! About the hardest thing i've ever played on 'normal' mode. Reminds me of when I used to go into ut2k4 and get super fragged all the time.
Who ever said you need ultra realistic gfx and loads of blood to have a good shooter. Def going be something to play when I get writers block and need something to get my mind into overdrive.

hmm already checked and many commands are left unexplained or the explanation is not enough, also those for witch i ask simply missing out there, the wiki helping only by a half
command like rate, snaps, r_intensivity, cg_bobup, cg_bobrol, cg_runrol are the main thing to set in q3
there are no such commands. The only netcode cvar worth setting is
cl_pps (max value = 62).
