There'll be a cashprize with wsw donations.

OUTSTANDING people 'ey! well i think it's fantastic there's any prize money at all! kind of the devs to let the donations be used for the competition :) it'd be near on impossible to raise any other prize money, unless they raised the money by increasing the entrance fee
i dont think warsow is tyrying to compete with quake live, and i doubt it ever will :) i know i've probably said otherwise in the past but my mind and opinions change ALL the time :D

and why is everyone hating on the t-shirt? :( it'll look awesome! you'll want THREE- gotta get 2 for your parents as well! :D

No I am not saying this because you said it or GoReY confirmed it. I am saying it because it is stupid what you said.

If people do not want to come to lan because the prizemoney is not high enough, I doubt they really like this game. They should pack their bags and head to QL where they will be mid skilled players and never even participate in a lan.

You can buy attention from people, but not real interest. The dash4cash LAN ist just a community event imo, rather than a sophisticated cup with lots of prizes and such. Sure more people would like to play the game if they see, they would actually win something decent. But compared to the effort someone has to put into these sophisticated competitive games, the prize is not reasonable alone to play it. In the meanwhile someone can make more income with - actually - working.

Although I would like to see, let's say, young and eager players like reload or others to have some higher revenue for their effort, but that's just peanuts compared to a regular summer vacation job even as pupil or student.

So only the interest in the game itself remains. If that is not enough, then hhhhhhhhhh is right.

Higher prizemoney comes with sponsors which Warsow doesn't have.

If you want to get paid for winning in online / LAN tournaments, choose a game which has sponsors.

I'm not talking about me but about friends/people I'd like to see there. I was talking to many of my ql mates (FooX, burn3d for example) if they would like to come. Most of them are interested in the LAN if there are prizes.

Well fuck your QL friends to be honest, they will never win anything worth mentioning in QL so why are they playing that? Have they ever even played warsow? I doubt it. I think those french people are making a lan for warsow, not a lan to attract players, sponsors and spectators. And there are prizes at the lan.

Warsow is a non-commercial, non-profit and little-prizemoney game and these things won't change in the near (and even far, I'm afraid) future.

Hosting a Warsow LAN is for community / fun purposes only.
