Imo that texture on pic 3 should be detail texture, not everywhere.

basically with the angle you define the angle on the xy axis, but you can switch the axis by making a tick at the up or down field which are the xz and yz axis

ok, im trying to set a sound for when u trigger the doors.

Theres a triiger multiple setup infront of a func_button (to make it easier to press). Im using the noise field in the trigger multiple entity and trying to use the bombtimer.wav which just goes beep.

so, i set it as:
noise
sounds/bomb/bombtimer.wav

but it doesnt seem to work, any clues?

Isn't it just "sound", not "sounds"? Can't check atm.

law, not totally sure about what I'm going to say, but: Try, in the button (not the trigger) entity with the key "noise_stop". I think there were noise_start, noise and noise_stop (as always, check the entity help, although I'm not sure it's complete in this case).

heh, sry, but ive got another question. Ive found a 10second sound loop that will fit perfectly for my map. http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=25322

ive made a target_speaker entity, stuck it on looped_on. The sound plays, for about 1 second, before it stops, waits a bit, then plays another second. Wtf?

after more investigation, ive found that it plays 3 seconds, waits 7 seconds, then plays 3 more.

law, by your description my guess is: the sound has a silence time at the end. Get audacity and cut it.

nope it doesnt, look at the previewpic of the soundwave.

I actually played the sound preview in the website and it has it, try it yourself (you have a button there to make it loop).

whether or not the sound has a silence point is moot in this case tho, as the sound is 10 seconds long (i have audacity and checked this) but warsow only plays 3 seconds of it at a time :s

Why am I the only guy who starts mapping the details first and tries to get a gameplay later :D

hehe, well, that can be fun for making concepts and stuff to use in various maps. But if u want solid gameplay, you really need to start with the basics. Layout->textures->details-> lighting. or you could switch the details and textures around.
