Well, I don't think goochie is trying to point out anything like that with those shots. As the thread says, it's just inspiration. It doesn't have to translate in using a theme, but in making you desire to put your hands at work. And if he does try to point out, he's loosing his time, because he doesn't need paint references to point that. I mean, we're talking about a typical theme, damnit, most of them could be from any of the futuristic FPSs in the market. I think he knows beforehand he wants to do something in that theme and found those pics inspiring him of different details. Not everyone gets the same inspiration from a picture*, and I wouldn't dare guessing what goochie sees at each of them. But what I point out is that I don't find many of them very inspiring for myself. I've nothing against the theme itself, and there's always something nice to extract from everywhere, ofc.

* I may like one because of the lighting, while other person likes it because of the distribution of the detail, and another one because of the colors, and so on. I do have some inspirational pics in my hd too, but I wouldn't bother posting them because what I see of inspirational in them has very little to do with what the picture is showing.

on the second, the scyscraper to the right looks quite interesting...

Yeah, that looks really nice.

Don't feel bad. There are other things under production with a similar theme which look even much better.

It would be fun to have that map just to run around on, now you're just teasing us with something that we can't have. Evil.
