Eye to hand takes a lot more than 8ms but owell. That's your money.

500hz makes mouse movement feel smoother (could be placebo) and with some mice increases max tracking speed. It has nothing to do with reaction times.

Hehe...

So you have 8ms till you react and another aditional 4ms till the mouse responds to your reaction makes a 12ms total. That's a HUGE delay! Everything under 500hz is to slow.

And clown, only if you are to dumb to threat a razer mouse right it does not mean they are shit, i know a lot of people using razer-mice for long time and never having problems with them, as i said mine is working perfectly.
Btw I did not say you dont know shit about mice in general but you don't know shit about razer. I also don't say that razer is the only company worth using (as you can see in my post i suggested different mice and different companies).

Peace

you are aware of the servers 16ms limit right? frames are sent from the server 60 times per sec, that makes ~16ms. ofc theres interpolation to smooth it inbetween, so it depends on your monitor refresh rate. maybe thats why some people go with 800x600x160hz

WTF?! o.O never saw a monitor (CRT and TFT) that can go up to 160hz (only know that some Sony Plasma-TVs can reach this refreshrate).

Why are you denying that they have a high failure rate? That makes you dumb, not me.

8ms - 4ms is a very small difference. Mouse click reaction time will range from ~5ms to >30ms depending on the mouse and settings. But you should also factor in human reaction time, the time it takes you to move your mouse over the enemy, and server latency. All added up together, your reaction time from seeing some one, clicking on them, and the server registering it will probably be > 300ms. So I don't think 4ms will ever make a difference.

"Mean [reaction time] for college-age individuals is about 160 milliseconds to detect an auditory stimulus, and approximately 190 milliseconds to detect visual stimulus."

Also, you suck at arguing.

Short awnser: Yes, for me.

Long answer:I would only get a Filco if you want a tenkeyless version. If you want a full sized, there's better boards out there, or cheaper boards, like the Cherry G80 for example. I tried black ones from a 7G and it was kinda odd for typing. If you want blacks on a full sized board, I'd recommend the SS 6G. The keycaps are better, it has NKRO, and is cheaper than Filcos. For blue switches you can get an Adesso MKB-135B Pro with NKRO(or an iOne Scorpius M10 without NKRO), and it's pretty cheap. Another option is the Das which has good keycaps and NKRO(the newer ones). Das is also available with browns.

What I like about the Filco is you can chose to have brown, black or blue Cherry MX switches(I use browns myself). They also come with blank or printed keycaps. Though they tend to get shiny pretty fast, unless you buy the separate blank set which has a different finish. They also come in black, white, red and pink colors lol. You can also chose a board with or without NKRO, and the tenkeyless boards all have NKRO.

If you read that and instead of helping it only confused you, or got you interested, you can read more here, and here.

I'm looking for a board with blues/browns and NKRO which rounds it down to the Adesso, Das and a Filco. The geekhack wiki says the Adesso is pretty crappy and the Das appears to have the same horrible gloss the deathadder has, so I guess I'll have to sell a kidney

Cherry also has boards with browns and NKRO. There's also other boards like Leopold, Ducky, etc. which are similar to Filcos, but might be harder to get depending where you live.

hey guys,
maybe some useful info: i have a cherry g80 myself (the one with blue switches).
it's fine for typing, keypress is not superlight though, but for the rest its nice and durable.
however, i wouldnt recommend it for gaming, since it cannot handle 5 keys at the same time, which can be annoying if you are strafejumping while looking at the scorescreen and jumping and need to switch weapons or so,
i havent been playing shooters for some time but i remember this problem.

I love my Apple Aluminum keyboard. It has scissor switches and it feels like laptop keyboard. There isn't much travel in the keys. People who prefer the clicketyclack mechanical keyboards probably won't like it.

Got a copperhead; works flawlessly. My keyboard is the inbuilt one on my gateway p-fx laptop. It annoys everyone but me horribly, since fn is where ctrl normally is.

Yeah not all G80s have NKRO, theres a few POS ones that do, but that's pretty useless. There's also the G80-3494 with the infamous and hard to get Cherry MX red switches which has NKRO.
