How to figure out what port your ded. server is running

I can find the ip im running it out of, but when i put in the stock 44400 port it cant find the server im not sure which port its running off someone told me they found it with like port 60571 but i have no idea how to keep it to 44400 so my friends can tdm with me

maybe go into dedicated_autoexec.cfg and go to the lines set port "" and change it. Thats what i did with mine before people start saying its wrong omfg stfu noob !!! cos to be honest ive seen alot of that on this forums. Instead of flameing please just tell them where they went wrong instead of the stfu noob you know nothing. Sorry about going off topic but we should be a community that loves not hates.

you could also use a portscanner on your own ip. :)

in linux you can see listening sockets and the names of processes who opened it with netstat -lp
in win it should be netstat too, but i'm not shure about the parameters. see windows help to figure them out.
