It didn't imo. It was too long. And the fact that one of these long cup/Ladder tries has succeeded doesn't mean that this nationscup should be played in 1 month or more... Make it max. 1-2 weeks.

It does show that longer cups can work as long as the admin is really behind it and doesnt cba and quit after a few days. Also, that's not the only example. There's been a good "long" nc before, and several tdm 4on4 cups on clanbase some years ago have been great also, even if people dont seem to get that.

We had like a dozen nations participating in the last tdm nc and that was during 0.42 times when warsow was pretty much dead...

For an nc one needs to raise interest. You want inactive players to come back for that cup or players from other games to play for smaller nations etc. pp.. A 1 day cup does not raise as much interest as a longer cup with some good coverage.

i could see teams at least from finland, sweden, norway, germany, france, poland, nl (?) happening...

if u also make a nationscup duel, u can make like, qualifyer cup first, and like top5/top3 or something moves on for a final country vs country

Daxio do you mean that 3 different players from each country then? But if you do, how could they need to do 2on2 if one country wins with 2 players. :s

Well, that system is used for rts games because there, everything above 2on2 is just crap for competitive play. For shooters, I would find it kinda lame to play almost only duels because that's such an individual thing. It would sure be cool to mix up a few different gametypes though.

duel nc seems extremely pointless to me, just take a look at duelcup rankings and consider ppl's nationalities. nc without a teamgametype=crap imo.

France : me (but not sure), Irreel, Xeeo (A_player), TazVoice, gohlink (if I catch him), Gcore (dueling on pub sometimes), Rizla (CPMA Pro) and maybe others.

Sweden : Gorey and Hannibal, first ? :p

Belgium : Puffdar managed to bring a team the last time. It could possibly do the same right now :D

And a lot of players on pub, if you tell them about IRC and so on. Those players are for TDM ofc, I don't know bomb's player
