Hi, this is some ides that in my opinion would make this awesome game even more awesome. If u feel like I'm stupid and a shit head. Don't just say "you're wrong". Pleas say argument why Im wrong.

Servers
Please set this in all Cup and Pickup servers auto load gametype cfg's crizis.
set g_warmup_timelimit "0"
set g_teams_allow_uneven "1"

Bomb:
The td punishment in bomb is really annoying in Pickup, Clan wars. Make it vote able again, and implement [spoiler]set g_spawnprotection "0" (or whatever it was)[/spoiler] auto off in the bomb cfg on cup and pickup servers.

Bug
Fix the countdown bug, where u can shoot before it says "GO!". Especially annoying in da/ca. Maybe its a compensation related to ping? If it is maybe the game could compensation the other way, so for people with low ping gets the go 10 ms later than the 200 ping guy, or something?

Score system bomb/ca:
To me score system insecure to show who played best that match. I don't say that score is the ultimate way to decide who is the best player in Warsow. But it would be fun to have a little bit more correct system.

You should be able to see deaths in scoreboard.

Like how you get score from doing damage. Lets say you meet a player that have 1 hp left. You use mg and he dies. If you instead of using mg use eb to kill the guy, you'll get more score. Even tho a eb shot is harder then a mg hit, both way of killing the dude are equal in usefulness. That's why I think you shouldn't be able to deal more dmg then your enemy have in health/armor, and take more dmg then you have in hp/a.

Kills always befit your team/yourself, witch means you should get score for it. If you kill someone he can't do anymore dmg to your team m8s or you.

Bomb:
+0.5 Kill
+0.5 defuse
+1 ninjadefuse
+0.5 plant
+0.5 die directly (with in 5 s or something) after planting (witch means +1 since you also planted)

Ca:
+0.5 Kill

yeah I agree.I think most of these should be in the game

and yeah if there are defuse points, plant points should be included also.

your argument for not having spawn protection is that its annoying but i would say its just as annoying as having some teammate shooting you at the start(in pickup).however most of the times these are accidents.Thats why by punishing the accidents dont reduce because they would happen anyway.

also yesterday in pickup someone said that warsow should have that ql's red "press f4 to ready yourself" hud/whatever message. http://qlhud.core.ws/files/img.....9PVVh8.jpg

One of the biggest problems with spawn protection is how it actually works. It takes hit points both from the target and shooter. That's double the damage. And if by accident you hit 2 players with 1 eb you team has just lost 4 eb hits worth of hit points.
The weird part about this, is that it already existed in the 0.5 version of bomb. Kind of weird that you go backwards in competition from 1 release to another.

el_motos ready up thing would be good aswell. Im not sure how pressing F3 works as it is, cuz i usually type in ready in console. But it would be nice if your ready state "toggled". i.e. If you're "not ready". and you press F3 it changes your state to "ready". And if you are "ready" and you press F3 it changes your state to "not ready".

The rest of HugTeddys points i agree with but I dont find em as major deal as the spawn protection bug.

everything is ok.

For respawn team damage protection, this is my idea to improve it.
In the first 5 seconds:
- a player restores the entire health/armor lost if he gets hitted by team mates
- the team damager looses 1/2 of health dmg and 1/2 of armor dmg
- if team damager does 80 amount of damage to one of his mates, he gets killed

well some ppl have that voice turned off and visual is always better than voice imo and umm there are still some newbs that dont know what to do in warmup

I agree, and I agree with el_motos ready up thing to. The ready up text can even blink in 4 diffrent colors and be rly annoying

Just small tweaks that make the game more fun, even tho its just small tweaks, nothing special.

lol at the topic name... it should be "Things that would make this awesome game even more awesome!"

You already DO it to health and ARMOR in a way! Only displays as an INTEGER but is an FLOAT? And i dont think its the values that are important in his suggestion more of how new way of giving points. If its 1 and 2 instead of 0.5 and 1 is not important.

Yes, health and armor are floats down in the gamecode.

Well, time for few cents from me:
-Tips for newcomers during loading screens
-Do something with items, sometimes i feel like I cannot pick them ( other ppl who I play with feels the same )
-Sounds dissapear sometimes - I know that can be because of Packetloss but for example on Acidwdm2 I don't hear MH picked by enemy so often if I'm not close to that tunnel/ventilation. I understand that type of thing on Bomb maps, but when it happens on DM maps then it's so annoying.
-Warsow need more solid maps like dm17, crizisdm3, 36dm4 + Bomb maps, but maps should be "simple" it's annoying when u get stuck in corners or on some stupid useless rails. ( I like how dm17 doorways are made: no collision for "doorpost" or however it's called, so it looks good and it's not touching gameplay )
-DELETE accel from menu and disable it as standard to 0 - I see a lot of noobs who have enabled accel by default and they cannot turn... it was annoying for me on beginning.
-"advanced settings" in menu, so ppl who are lazy could adjust their config without writing shitload of cvars (ezQuake settings are good example)
-Movement style button in options
- "Official warsow servers are pinging first - I mean these "By Crizzilla" ( but you can disable that feature in filters / enabled by default )
-Updated wiki

1) try "s_module 2" (for windows u need to install this).
2) u can do it by yourself too, everybody on the forum has permission to edit wiki.

As far as we know, the wsw ui has never worked properly (expecially on that accel option and advanced settings). Actually we are already trying to make ui easier in the next release. So stay tuned = ]

I like the picking item idea.

It must be some game bug because when i ask other players about it they notice it too.
Happens just in warsow. - As I said most of the time while playing on acidwdm2

Ok, another thing which I would like to see in warsow is cvar for volume of ambient sounds ( fan on dm17 etc.)
In future maps might have ambient sounds and I don't want to listen to them or so when i'm playing seriously.
It shouldn't be hard to do it so think about it guys ^^

We are gonna streamline the UI heavily for the next version, which means dropping off lots of options. But the new technology we use allows for the community to easily create their custom "advanced" pages. i.e. give control to every cvar existing in the engine If they want.

Another thing we might tackle with the new UI (but not necessarily in the very next version) would be a 'smart serverbrowser', with again community-driven possibility for 'old-style' browser.

Sound crash for when I respawn or telport, think its the same sound. But for ppl with real audiocards (not mobo bundle shit) that rarly happens.

smth I forgott to mention was, u should be able to force teamcolor on projectiles. So u know if u gonna flame ur team8s or whine on lucky enimies, when u get hit by nades The explosions should not have team color, just the projectiles nades/rockets/plasma.

In bomb you shouldnt be able to see who has the bomb in score bord. Becuse some ppl tend to go same bomb place all the time.. to easy to predict then

My soundcard is X-Fi Xtreme Music - it's 100% X-Fi card.
I never ran out of channels like onboard soundcards users while playing CA or so, sound things happens for me in duels ( well it's my most played gametype ) and r4nd0m noticed that it happens more on "non official" maps.
Problems like this never occured in different games which are way way heavier for soundcard etc.

Sounds use "potentially hearable set" guessing for where you can hear sounds, just the same way as hints define potentially visible set in maps. So sounds more like a map bug.
