[CNF #2] Warsowmon hits the charts!
Hi War?owians,
This week has been another week with some developments in the war?ow community, especially on the competition-side, alot has happened.
This week's bamboocha cup was moved to next week due to low signups. A recurring 2v2 one-day-cup is started by WoOdY49 and oGgle, called the DoubleDash Cup, which will have it's first round this saturday, from 6pm on; drop by in #wsw.doubledash for signups/more info. The CB War?ow 1v1 opencup has opened it's signups. And the Clanbase TDM Cup (Fragfest!) has it's first round matches scheduled! Sadly alot of them had to be forced by tide, due to alot of clans not scheduling their matches (note for next week people ;)). Also, TDM activity seems to have received quite a big boost since the announcement of the Cup; clans looking to practise their 4on4's have skyrocketed! Great days for the war?ow TDM community :).
Alot of competition news in this small week, and part of it has spurred an interesting discussion in the warsow.net forums. Especially the rescheduling of this week's bamboocha cup leads people to wonder why the activity in competitions seems to be slowing down. Various people mentioned it might be the lack of prizes which makes activity drop slowly. Personally I don't think it has to do with prizes, but it has to do with both the size and the activity of the war?ow community. Remember; these cups are a relatively new thing to the relatively young war?ow scene - and the fact they exist, and people take the effort to organize it, give coverage for it, and play for them still impresses me each cup! What are your thoughts about the activity and participation of the warsow community? Leave a comment to share your thoughts, or check out the current thoughts which have been posted on the matter.
In other news, this week we have learned a great artist has been in our middle all this time, refusing so far to show his talent. I am ofcourse speaking of soon-to-be-celeb nealz, who released his first single Warsowmon this week, landing at #1 in the War?ow Charts on release! But then again; how could you go wrong with the backup such a great songwriter?
On the music matter, Last.fm users, why not join the Last.fm Warsow Group to show the diversity and musical taste of the war?ow scene? :) (and I expect Warsowmon to pop up in the charts there!).
That's it for this week, till next post!

due to the demographic of the warsow community : ie mainly 17+,
having demanding cups: ie sat+sun is not a good idea.
I doubt age is the factor either tbh, like I stated in the forums;
it's the community size, but it's not a bad thing, I'm very happy
we have working cups, and don't think the community is too small.
We'll just have to keep on playing as war?ow improves, and more
people get attracted imo :)
