Warsow Needs You Pt.2
Damn, I really loved plying Warsow with that macbook touchpad
:)
But I can understand your decision. I can remember my first (and only) try to compile Warsow 0.62 with my Macbook... Took like 5 hours to convince me of the futility of my plan...

It's not a political decision.
Unless someone steps in and commits to do hundreds of hours of mac maintaince and porting work, the port is gone. Simple as that.
Alternativaly, you can donate 2500 eur for me for macbook pro / mac

CHEAPEST mac pro setup is 2.499,00 EUR.
(exact same hardware at PC side would cost around 400-500e :)
keyword Hackintosh
admittedly, i wouldnt want to work with it, either

How to install Mac OS on x86 based PC (starting with Intel Core 2
Duo + )?
Since Apple is using Intel CPUS this only needs some free space on Hdd and works perfectly

do you really think we'd ever develop anything with illegal methods
like hackintoshes?

you know what should be illegal, selling overpriced computers to
mindless fanbois. tying software to a special machine should be
likewise illegal imho. once you bought software you can damn well
do with it what you please.
IMO closed development process and non-free media freightens
potential contributors.
potential contributors are frightened by the amount of hard work
they're required to do for nothing. development process and
non-free media only bothers FOSS zealots, always eager to troll
each other on /. and likes but who rarely contribute anything
remotely useful. they are the most vocal crowd though.

+1 macbookpro user :o
I'd understand that it takes sum more time to additionaly program all that stuff to macos.. but in one hand its like you're doing a step back and on the other hand its politicly motivated :P

Are you signing up for the job to port 0.7 stuff for OS X and commit to maintain it?

I'd love to buuuut i dont know anything 'bout programing than sum basic stuff, thats it in general.
But i could ask a good friend of mine whos in c++ cuz of his job, he even plays §§§ from time to time, only thingy might be hes more on in WoW, so maybe not reliable enough..
Can suggest that.

Koochis posts maybe made it sound political decidion but it is not.
We have no OS X maintainers (or hardware to do it anymore) so OS X port will be dropped.
Simple as that.
