RICKROLLERS TDM 4v4 Nations Cup

Hello again!

As there have not been too many TDM cups last years, I have decided to host one and it's going to be a 4v4 Nations Cup.
I can imagine WarSow TDM activity is really really low at the moment but I still hope there is a bunch of people who are keen on playing some and that the community will show some interest and will form some national teams.
If you are able to write about the cup on any gaming-site I would be glad if you would have done so.

Time: check-in 14:30-15:30 CET, start 15:30 CET

Format: Best of Three
Picking order: cointoss winner decides who picks the first map
Two best teams of each group advance to play-offs.

Make sure you send me the player roster before the cup starts.
Remember it is going to be you responsible for recruiting players for your country, being in contact with your teammates and gathering people for the matches.
Make sure you discuss with other people from your country who is going to be a capitan of it.
Capitan should also have enough knowledge to choose the best players from his country. The point is to gather as good team as it is possible.
Each country is allowed to have 4 players + 1 stand in. If there will be some really extraordinary situation I will let the team have second sub.
If there are countries that could form more than one team, the second team will also be allowed to play.
No players besides an admin or shoutcaster are allowed to be on the server during the game - you are forced to use TV/Stream.

At the moment sign-ups are open, you guys have a month to choose your capitan, form your teams, sign up and ofcourse practise some.

Rules:

Scorelimit: 0
Timelimit: 20
Teamsize: 4
Timeouts: 2 per team
Overtime: 5 minutes
Coach: not allowed

When the match is over both teams must have and send the screenshots to an admin. Make sure you play on crizis cup servers so it actaully saves multipov demos.
North Americans are welcomed aswell but unless two sides agree matches will be played on European servers.

Maybe the date is a bit too early.

Italy could be in. It has always had a high-skilled tdm tradition until 0.42 (trolol). Let's see if i can find a team. If i can, we'll probably play to support the cup and have some fun with this amazing gametype. Don't expect pro games anyway.

Add lltdm maps or wdm8 or old cwm9 map (was made by grumx) or a CPMA map or anything

You can add 1-2 new maps since evryone already knows these 3

Not really keen on adding maps that last time were played few years ago and rarely anybody knows atm. If there will be some big group of players wanting some other maps like lltdm or smth I will consider it but yet I am not changing anything.

Might come as a bummer, because this forces alot more "mixed" teams. But wouldnt it be better to do a "clancup" instead of a nations cup?

Last time we had a TDM Nations cup, it failed kinda miserably. And people complained about mixing players between different nations etc (Belgium-Holland & Sweden-Norway). But this was only done because there was a lack of players at the time. And it's definatly more fun if we get more teams than like 6 nations or whatever. Half the warsow population is pretty much German :)

no, tbh I feel like warsow gained more players during last months, so I think this is definitly worth a try...

thumbs up from me, but i guess you should create a tread in forum for players who wants to play, but doesnt really know how many active players in their country are atm and who are they. that way people could find each other from the same country, because i have no idea if there are any playing in Lithuania from where i am.

nah but seriously i think there are enoguh people in each country to actaully form some teams, for example this is my suggestion that would really have satisfcated me:

poland: cremator,kerpal,um8(talked with him today) vicek if he is able and if not then knooger/randzz

russia: tio leshka ethad adem

finland: viigo, huksi, crizis, lugia, milkflow, gaiia(?)

germans: sicmunky,goda,klacid, tigu, any oldschooler (?)

sweden: tongue, ovr, dendro, falcky, rvg(he played in nc 09 for sweden, arent his parents swedish?:P)

belgium: dkw puff tw1nsen homart grandma, anyone else?

france: irreel,hylith,stealer, bn(?), klice

ita: koochi, ponzio, gand , dalai(?), yemmi(?)

hungary: trusty, no idea no idea

i could imagine hungary and ita not having enough players to form any team but the rest of the teams have enough people to paly i guess, also switzerland can mix with austria and play as alpen teams, also spain is allowed to play with portugal(if there would be any interesed players:P) also lithuana player like ehtad etc are allowed ot play as team russia

I'm not rly much in those .32> times and surely there maybe a few more, but i'm sure a few of these would participate, rld f.e. its kinda fame babe ;)

well i tried to type the players who are active THIS times but it would be really great if old players would show some interest and played too =)

I spoke with some of them in the last days, and they're mostly like they want to give 0.7 a real try, so maybe times will revive for an amount of time :)
