Looking for a map from old version of Warsow
Hi :)
I'm looking for a download link to a map that I used to play on an old version of Warsow. I have created a top down sketch/drawing of the main central area of the map. It may not be a 100% accurate layout of the map since it's drawn from memory. As far as I remember the map name started with "wdm..", and it had three levels in the central area of the map. I have indicated the three levels of the map in the drawing, with the words - top, middle & bottom.
Please note, the portal that's mentioned in the drawing should be on the "middle" level at the top of the first set of stairs opposite the quad pickup, and not on the "bottom" level.

I think the main central area with the quad pickup & the boxes at the bottom level was blue. The rocket launcher pickup area at the stairs was probably green, and there was a small red area which had a portal at the bottom. The water area with a railgun on a top ledge may have been purple, and it joined onto a room with a lift. The lift goes up to the ledge where the railgun pickup is, then the water is below.

I've done a search on google images for the map "acidwdm2", and acidwdm2 is the map that I'm searching for. Thanks for your help. :D

Thats why I occasionally still fire up v0.2 or v0.3, just to play it in its old glory (yes I know I can play it with 0.6x too).. ;) :D

I like the newer oldwdm2 more, overall. Acid's sort of feels wrong
in newer versions.
What i liked on his maps is more trickjumping styley, played some
ctf on the first ctf2 of him, was fun tho!

Oh, I liked the visuals and trick opportunities; its just that as
the engine changed, they sort of fit less. Acidwdm2 feels somewhat
cramped, for instance.
Well tbh when it comes to acidwctf2 the visuals are one of the main
reasons it isn't played. I've heard many people say they hate the
texturing there.

same for me, i used to play newer oldwdm2 a lot in dm, it was really fun and interesting. The only problem of this map is its visual style..
About acidwdm2, everytime playing it i find my self trying to find and to choose LG :D What if EB could be replaced by Laser?...

The layout just isn't good for wsw. It only worked good for insta newbs cause they didn't know how to move.
yeah I agree with jal the map itself is unplayable or atleast the
gameplay is horrible
i always found the acidwdm2 look very slick. acidctf on the other
hand ...
Well it worked pretty well in iCTF.. nice route possibilities but
still you could easily defend the flag as the flagroom was small.
But in 0.6+ NW it just wouldnt work because of the small base
it doesn't fit the after .3 ctf sys i'd say - u can spamm the
flagspot from ra, which is pretty secure..without instant steals n
caps that's just pure pain. and jal u better delete what u just
said, core of the ictf-community was moving pretty elitair,
comparisson would put shame on most (top) nw players, srsly:D
