Warsow .7...tisk tisk

Even if OS X version isn't initially included with 0.7 release, we can easily ship it via autoupdate later, assuming someone manages to do the portin job.
I thought the same way. Sooner or later... :D

Without blaming him, Drahtmaul has OSX Skillz, i asked him porting .7 and he was like he'd try.. kick his ass!
I mean those reactions show once more there's a real interest as for many ppl (me incl.) playing wsw on an emulated machine is no alternative.
its this kind of post that should be of interest to the devs. i think mac osx support is probably quite important to warsow's future and survival(if its to have one ), there arent a huge amount of games on mac so it would be good to have warsow as one.
instead of waiting for people to come and offer their skills to you, you have to go out and find them yourself...
this is often how i made things happen; i reached out to learn_more with a gametype -> this became bomb and i reached out to adsn about client side gfx upgrades which led to the gun model reskinning and other gfx effects.
They've made it clear that
1.) none of them have a mac.
2.) none of them wants to buy a mac.
3.) none of them really has the experience with macos, which continuously breaks their code.
They've continuously said that if anyone with the experience and a mac offers, they'll be happy to support mac. Don't know how more clear it could be.
As for the reaching out, you said you reached out to warsow community members? The devs have tried that here. Seen results yet?

Its quiet understandable, laws point.
Its less about him then about a hint you guys should maybe advertise more that, like now, you need mac defs.
I dont say that u guys work less or i dont appreciate your work, especialy yours vic, as i heard you worked your arse off.
The view not be able to play 0.7 and to be with the rest of the sowies (What for some more ppl might be also a point) just sucks, thats basicly it :)
And Moto, daheck "its warsow" man :/

We've told with crizis about OS X porting. I should try to do that as soon as beta will be released (e.g. maintaining).
I will love you forever.

No, it's bullshit. Asking someone to script a small gametype in IRC is little bit different than hunting for OS X devs for months. We've tried:
1) Asked community members to get some OS X devs
2) Asked around from everyone who we possibly know to own a mac
3) Asked all of our friends to ask around their friends for possible OS X devs
4) Posted recruiment posts to moddb, mapcore, tons of other forums
And someone has fucking balls to come shout here we should do something about it.

Man, Stay calm, ofc i cant say from the time <dec 2011, cuz ive been inactive.
If you're able to say that you've done everything you could or also more then you ought to have to do then ofc your reaction is understandable, totally. As said before, i dont doubt your guys' effort.
Give us some more information next time instead just "oh youz ego prob i see?"
Lets see what crusties doing at work.

I find it pretty funny that law even bothers to compare finding
some gametype scripter from IRC to this. Law, if you think OS X
client is so important, go find us a developer for it then.
First of all finding developers who are even capable of doing the porting work is hard.
Secondly finding developers who are capable of doing the work and willing to do it for free is extremely hard.
Thirdly, finding developers who are capable and willing to do the job, and commit maintaining it for several years is likely not going to happen.
So just say goodbye to the OS X client.
We won't do any further explaining for this issue, case closed.
