Warsow 0.7 BETA release!

Hey,

For the release you might want to put the entire application in its own directory before tarballing it. This avoids blindly untarring it into your home directory (like I just did :) ) and is an unwritten standard amoung software releases.

Can't wait to test it out!!

I'm getting the following error on Xubuntu 12.04 (with libpng installed)

$ ./warsow
./warsow.x86_64: error while loading shared libraries: libpng15.so.15: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

"libpng12-0" is the only libpng available in the Ubuntu 12.04 repositories. I tried to symlink the older library to it but I get the following error:

$ ./warsow
./warsow.x86_64: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libpng15.so.15: version `PNG15_0' not found (required by ./warsow.x86_64)

Both of these issues would be resolved if the source was available to be compiled -- whenever you guys get around to doing it would be great so we can test it!

AFAIK this is the warsow 0.62 sdk/source. The 0.7 beta SDK/source has not yet been linked

Downloading now!!! I'm soo happy :) after all that waiting.

Can't wait to test my crashing maps.

Bugs I found :
- Fails to load my avatar
- The texture filter menu show every item twice
- Use solid colors not works (wctf6)
- on wctf6 the portal thingy first appeared clear "full" resolution, after switching gfx profile (from med to med) it turned gray-scale (maybe its ok) but the resolution of it was maybe 80*60 pixel or so
(- can't find the advanced gfx options)
- in the menu the mouse feels ?laggy?

+:
- i love the new loading screen :D (maybe it should display the map its loading + server at the bottom)
- no crash after 5 hour of spectating
- much better fps than 0.6
- responsiveness vs 0.6
- detected my monitor resolution correctly! (with 2 monitors offseted + different resolution on each one)

(also remove the .svn folder :) )

You have to dl libpng15 and compile it =)

Wrong JPEG library version: library is 62, caller expects 80

Have to find and compile libjpeg80 missing lots of textures ingame. When taking a screenshot crahses to desktop.

it does work and doesn't depend on the map but requires either GLSL or 3D textures turn on.

0.7 rly nice, especially octan hitbox, so u can see team m8ts trough walls, ui and the list goes on and on.

But lg beam is just mega annoying. Guess I can change it back my self, but you rly want that to be default?

Weak eb, I dont like it. But guess Im not enuff good in duel that my opinion will make any diffrence. And it wont affect any other gametypes I play, I guess.

And a little sugesstion when you game and press esc to get menu up I would like to have my mice pointer centred on the screen so I faster can find it and move it. Its nerly allways in the top left corner now. Not inportant stuff but, would be nice.

another thing that I'd like to point out that the username/password fields in the login field in the client are difficult to discover with the purple background on the fields and a mostly purple/blue themed background. perhaps a similar grey border that is used for the "remember login" checkbox could be used for the username/password text boxes?

I'm trying to log on with the Linux client and I'm currently getting the following error when trying to log in:

MM_Login: Failed, no session id

I'm not sure if this is a server-side issue because I was logged in earlier.

Also -- I see that you can reset your password to a random password with the Forgot Password link, but is there a way to change your password? I looked in edit profile and it wasn't there
