Please (for warsows sake) fix weak eb as fast as possible

why not just switch it around and have weak eb as insta hit (but
make it weaker) and strong as projectile but does 50% more dmg
trolololololololol. seriously, you cant hit weak eb from long
distances as it is right now, and thats what eb is for, it is meant
to be a long range weapon, just like quake's rail. don't see the
point in bringing back a stronger gunblade without splash, it just
fucks up with the long range weapon's functionality and the
gameplay experience with this weapon in general.

Using that aptitude will make this game more "ghetto" keeping few players playing it and leaving the newbies as they have no right to say anything about, i do understand your point about but still think that w§w needs more players and that's not the right behavior to me.

i don't play so much duels, but i do play few CA, noticed on myself i keep using Camper class just to not have the weak EB. that would not be necessary in no-class mod.
BUT: i do agree EB is a long range weapon and making it delayied takes out the point of it.
MY PROPOSAL:
Keep it and make it voteable (or at least a server side mod), make it that players can choose from the actual 0.7b weak eb or the insta EB. That will make everyone happy.

They literally cannot make it voteable.
Adding delays sounds fine to me.

A lot of people that like new weak eb sounds like this: "whooi plx
make strong rockets instant, awesome fun. We just need to get use
to it!!!" "yhe and make it have a delay when you shoot it" "warsow

Well only problem is that you can reduce weak eb dmg and get the same result. Warsow really don't need another gunblade/rocket with less reload and no splash.
And its not about proclaim yourself as pro, its about what ovr said about hours, experience and knowledge. My experience is: I did hate lg because I always got killed by mirrorman. Does this make my opinion back than valid? What I said now is only related to gameplay though.
I think dev should let core duel players test gameplay related changes. So its sure that we normal pub players can test a awesome change (if it gets released). Well guess this beta is just a gameplay test. No need to start to whine seriously jet :D

@hugteddy I think perhaps modifying the dmg per gametype is
definitely the way to go. Or to make the projectile fast enough to
be useful. I can understand the rage because atm it does feel
completely useless. I tried asking a couple of people but I haven't

They've made it clear that per-gametype weapon settings aren't
going to happen; you can still make them sort of by changing

I liked ol' hitscan as well. It was def. tactical in duel and well,
just more intuitive and enjoyable. Weak and strong had 25% damage
difference in promod, that worthed taking strong ebs, and that's
how i liked it the most over the different eb versions since .42 .
I only have the next 2 questions:
1) what is the point in bringing back the old projectile EB? When in 0.5 and 0.6 everyone was very happy with instant EB? I never saw anyone complaining about it?
2) In what way did you consider this feature to be better and more fun?

The electrobolt should be a long range weapon but the new weak eb
is not a long range weapon because it is very easy to dodge. I do
not understand the predicting some people are talking about. On
long ranges you can predict as much as you want and the other
player will just strafe to the side or move a bit in the air if he
is not on the groud... .
I am not a very good dueler but eb in duel is good to pull off some good shots from range when you are trying to avoid fights due to high stack/control of the enemy and sometimes you cant get to the strong eb ammo or it is just to risky. So how do you want to damage him from distance apart from spamming rockets on items etc... . Also dromers point with the weapon combos is pretty true IMO
So yeah this is just my point of view and again I am not a (that) good dueler but IMO the situation for me is like that.
In ctf I also cant see a proper use for slow weak eb except of shooting ppl who are in the air due to jumppad

I'd personally rather have either both strong and weak as
projectiles (same speed/'delay' but different damage) or instant.
Same goes for LG- would rather have that weird bendy thing for
strong and weak than straight for strong and bendy for weak. I've
always found it jarring :) I guess what you want from the weapons
depends on what gametypes you play and how you play them!
But yeah in an ideal world, just nerf the fuck out of the dmg for weak eb and make it instant. Done!

use it when it's the time for or do you use lg to snipe

Just played ca "duel" as Grunt and got 35% eb after like 11 shots ... quite ok i think
just use it as a mid range or long range (short-time) prediction weapon, especially if your enemy is hiding behind an edge, shoot and hide yourself
If you want senseless all weapons action with eb and lg b***hes ... fine but i'm against your suggestion...

nope, splash has been REDUCED and +5 direct hit damage was removed. so rl is weakened compared to promod
