I found a bug:
If you have different resolutions in wsw and on your desktop and switch between programs you don't have fullscreen on wsw anymore.
example: You have 1280x1024 and fullscreen on Warsow and 1600x900 on desktop and you press alt+tab warsow goes out of the fullscreen and plays in window.
on which operation system?
On my windows 7 x64 I have another problem - desktop resolution changes to wsw's one after alt+tabbing. But this problem goes from the earlest wsw versions..
Yeah Win7 x64 too ;)

console uses german layout ingame english since ages just swap z and y while binding them
no probs
Lil bug on wdm17 - standard wsw cfg.

I don't know why but so often I cannot pickup items - I just run trought them. My netgraph is flat :S
About serverbrowser - players should be able to see what map server is running atm without selecting it.

Hi,
I'd like to talk about the server browser…
* Does the server browser have scrollbars?
* Dedicated server is not recognized by the client (version mismatch). Is it intentional for the beta, only to allow selected servers?
* I can't see any sufficient reason for not allowing colors in servers' name. What's the reason behind that change?
* Same question for server sorting… Final version will have (hopefully) much more servers, some basic sorting is necessary IMO.
* Is it intentional to remove Favorites? Why?
* On another area, I see Warsow has a predefined resolution of 1366x768, but some (or many?) monitors uses 1360x768 (mine is one of those)... WTH that specific resolution is not standard among all monitor brands? Could you guys change so Warsow detect the best of the two when that predefinition is selected? (maybe based on desktop resolution) It would help newbies who still don't know how to change resolution manually.
Thanks.

yes

wfm

Performance. Librocket can't handle datagrid with too many elements (every colored letter would have be a span tag with colored letter, making at worst cases 20 new tags for a single server, each of which get re-rendered on any element update). We had to even remove map column from the browser to keep performance at acceptable levels. Fully colored and with map etc columns, libr can handle only up to 10-15 server rows at once.

Sorting isn't likely coming, for next beta or maybe even final. See above for libr problems. It is on our endless todo list though..

Whole UI was written from scratch, we can't remove something that never existed. So, it's missing. It'll come eventually though.

There is 'desktop' option in resolution dropdown which sets your desktop resolution and Warsow defaults to this.

btw, Strenx 2011 movie has similar particle rocket
explosion effect :D Also Railgun beam from this movie looks very
suitable for warsow... I wish something like that will appear in
the next releases =)
2) more tweaking options: look at QL how deep you can customize your game without searching in the console to the right commands. (= very helpful for new people).
Well, we wanted the ui to be simple and actually hide most of the advanced nitpick settings. However useful ones can be added there ofc, and some important ones are missing.
However, I'd rather see ppl work on their own ui's with these settings rather than mess up the default UI completely.
Ubuntu 12.04 .debs for testing!
Ubuntu 12.04 users, please check if these work, gametypes load correctly etc etc:
Warsow 0.7 DATA (required)
Binaries:
64bit build
32bit build

Can confirm it launches and the ui works. :D
I have so many system issues i am considering reinstalling the whole beast. I can't help you more than that atm.

ah mefi, didn't know bout that, thx
saw from other screenies that it has one, so that's just a resolution issue i guess (how foolish was i to not consider this earlier, omg^^). howevs, maybe there's a way to adjust it for low-resos as well, would be nice

just some thankful words:
I feel in love with new ui, so fresh and simple! I hope new players will like it too ;) also the speed of loading maps is awesome! How did you do that magic, devs?:D
by keeping reused textures, models, shaders, sounds and other things in memory between map loads instead of loading them from disk for each map
you can still walk inside the boxes at one of the bombsites in
downtown

- Everything looks alright with default cfg.
P.S. With my cfg from Win7 some maps doesnt work. I'm gonna figure out what cvar makes the problem.

and you think removing the map column is acceptable? really? rather than showing only 15 maps at once, that would be tollerable at least.

as long as usefull features arent disabled.

why dont you open up svn then, to have additional devs before release, likewise for public testers? nevermind. i wonder how the other bugs like the sound one could slip by you in developement.
yay for octagonal hitboxes and improved map loading times, after all.

Hi,
Warsow 0.7 crashes if i want to start it with Enabled "AMD CrossFireX" (2 Cards, 4 GPUs)
I tried both, x86 and x64. Even the portable Version does not work.
It works fine if i disable CrossFireX and play with one single card.
The Specifications of my PC:
2 x AMD Radeon HD 6990 (latest driver)
2 x Intel Xeon CPU E5645 @ 2.40GHz
12 x 4GB RAM (48GB)
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
More Informations in the following Files:
DxDiag
CPU-Z

Because we don't want your shit into the game. We decide what gets included.
Oh and btw: sound bug is caused exactly by a patch by someone who's NOT in the dev team...
that is obnoxious and confusing.
pub svn access doesnt need to have write access, that would be unnusual.
nice try avoiding the other question. im patient.

lolwut?
how about updating chipset driver, that should be responsible for coordinating the two cards, init?

crizis, thanks for the answers!
Hope you find a solution for that Librocket limitation in the future!
I don't know how it works, but it looks like a browser engine for games, right?
afaik, browsers don't take any long to load http://www.warsow.net/wmm_servers
Just out of curiosity, what was used in previous versions to render the list of servers?
Edit: After some tests, I think it is only the wsw_server_x86.exe that is bugged. wsw_server_x64.exe works fine.
Also, X86 creates "tempmodules" inside the basewsw of the folder where it is.
X64 (as do 0.6) creates at AppData\Roaming\Warsow 0.7\basewsw
I also noted that X86/X64 are eating up 100% of one cpu core for a second or two during initialization.
I got this from the stack of X64:
ofc you know that.
Btw, I think these [Quotes] and [Codes] have too big padding on the forum.
Is it a server?
