Go ahead and go play duel vs daxio when he's in total control. Trying to get control back when you cant hit EB and you can't hit & run, will reduce the game to a RL-hugging game even more (which it already is and with 0.7 even more).
If projectile EB is here, its the end of duel for warsow on high skill, thats a fact. Because 1) You'll be increasing the random-factor waaaay too much since there's a possibility you'll miss the shot by a millisecond which is enough for a gg. 2) The reason QL, CS, LoL are/were so popular is because you are/were able to perfect your game/skill and every millisecond mattered....
The only time you'll be seeing high players again is for the money duel-cups. Most of the people responding here aren't even duellers. And I agree, if I played CA, CTF or bomb, I wouldnt care either because in other gametypes the influence isn't that big.
But now...I'm like this:

A - I believe that eb should be the long range hitscan weapon, and
fill that purpose. With projectile it becomes too unreliable on
long-range which is the point of the weapon. Sure, I still hit
(with "skill") on close/medium-range, but on long-range it's pure
randomness. I just don't see the use for a projectile eb, you
already have gb/rl/pg which share the same mechanic. The projectile
EB seems like a nerf, intended to decrease EB abuse in duel/tdm
(which actually promotes more positional play).
Anyway, I think that weak and strong ammo should share the same domain of use, which is the case for all the weapons now, except weak/strong EB, where strong EB is usefull at long range, but weak is not...

You're forgetting weak LG, it's still a shitweapon that doesn't hit like strong LG... Another random thing in this awesome unbalanced game!
dont think i remember correctly, weak eb is 2000ups now? imagine
you are shooting prj. eb across half of wca1. a 2000 units
distance. thats like shooting with instant eb at 1000ms ping. now
double that ups and its still 500ms ping. happy fragging.
edit: take other maps, duel maps if you will, still compares to 100 ms ping over a 400ups distance - thats the distance of a mediocre bunnyhop - on top of your usual ping. and you say this is great?
+ avoids long range campers
+ adds a challenge for seasond players
+ does sth with the ammo system
- does sth with the ammo system
- devalues eb (could distort item balance on maps)
- harder on naps/igibbers
I coul[D] not care less.

It's 6000ups. The B vote would make it 8000ups.

It wouldn't be like that, you would miss if you shot it like an instant EB. I've also shot projectile EB across half of WCA1 it's not easy but it's definitely doable.
any1 of the duel "pros" playing duel on wca1? no? coz thats the
place where even i(ppl call me mr.noaim) can get some hits with
weak eb lol
