Unable to save my setings
I'm new on warsow, so maybe this is a silly question. I would like
to know how to save my game settings, because each time I quit the
game I lose them all ( player name, keyboard controls, graphic and
sound options ). Is there to save them so I don't have to configure
my settinsg each time I open the game ?
Btw I use warsow on Mac os x 10.5

Settings do save automatically - however, each mod has their own
config. In a nutshell, if you for example do your setting changes
when you're playing Bomb&Defuse on promod server, these
settings are not available in basewsw next time you start warsow,
only on promod servers.
The best way is to save your settings to autoexec.cfg in basewsw (you can do writeconfig autoexec), then they're available for all mods too.
Or you can use writeconfig badger in a mod, and then exec badger to load them.

I configure all my settings when I'm on the main menu, not on a
server and they do not save. Not even my player name saves, or the
fact that I play in a window and not fullscreen.
Did you use the warsow installer .exe?
I think you might have ticked off 'use profile dir' checkbox in the installer, and if you installed it in program files dir, your regular user account doesn't have write permissions there.
This is the likely scenario that comes to my mind :)

Right, OS X. Sounds like some kind of permission problem anyway.
~/Library/Application Support/Warsow 0.6 is the profile dir, check
if it exists and that you can write there.
Quitting warsow with alt+F4 AFTER you did some ingame config
changes, doesnt save your config. It doesn't here anyway :o

ok thanks I'll see :)
I'm actually having the same problem. I'm in Windows, and I dual
boot, 2 separate installs, and getting this issue on both of them
(Win7 64 and XP Pro 32). For a long time I thought I had an issue
with some kind of 'Read Only' folder setting, but this is the only
game that does this and I've used multiple fresh (wiped registry
clean and everything) installs but still it won't save any of my
settings after I've left the game and come back.
p.s., I've been a WSW player for probably 5 or 6 years by now, and I'm actually very knowledgeable regarding technical issues (31 year old telecommunications tech, build and OC computers on the side for money for a decade).
Any help getting something resolved, even just creating an autoexec.cfg and showing me where to put it, would be awesome.

writeconfig autoexec :)
you can place your autoexec in basewsw/autoexec.cfg
Where is my actual config so I can use it as a template for the
autoexec? 'dedicated_autoexec.cfg' and 'tvserver_autoexec' are the
only two config files in my basewsw folder.
