Gfx-wise I think icons should be pretty square with rounded borders, not too much gloss, to fit webby/ui. None of icons in this thread really please me quality-wise. But ideas are good.

That may be just me but i would prefer something more cartoonish, with less degraded (is it the word ?), more cell-shading and more outlines. They are good in their style but feel like don't fitting warsow. Also maybe less gore would be good.

i like schlaeschla's round one so far. granted, square leaves more room.

I pretty much agree with crizis on the drawings, they don't feel exactly WARSOW to me, althought the ideas are nice and should be used as base for the making of awards/achievements :p

Just my two cents: The background should be semi-transparent and therefore slightly fainter. The foreground can be in color, but needs to mostly be white, orange, and the warsow shades of deep purple.

Something like that? (tried too combine some visual properties from the warsow items with your suggestions crizis)
