about wdm5 teleporter
I'm talking about the two way teleporter.
Should it perhaps be made one way? Quite often close games come down to who can 'whore' it most.
In certain cases they can work, but IMO, the exits on wdm5 are too open and provide too many options.
I don't know what can be done at short notice like this though.
Would people be interested in trying a version with a one way teleporter? *if there is a further beta release that is?

get what you're saying, but to me it's just part of the map! I
remember complaining about it years ago (when you used to be able
to literally hold back and go back and forth between the two
teleporters almost instantaneously; nnow it ports you a few ft (or
whatever unit of measurement you care to use!) in front), and can
definitely see why people would find it grating. Could be worth a
try playing around with the teles, but would alter the 'feel' of
the map a fair bit! The one area I've personally never been happy
with in dm5 is the bloody mh area. It's better than having it at
the old mh position but brrrrr!
soem1 with my duel-experience probably should not post in this
thread, but yeah i'd appreciate testing that and alrdy thought of
the same
wdm5 gameplay has been changed already different times in the past.
And textures aswel. And i don't get why even discuss about a 5y+
old map :)

I discussed about the teleporters back in pre-0.6 with blx when I
was finishing the retextured version, but he kinda meant the map to
be like that, fast cpm-ish tele routes and fluid movement, so I'm
just gonna honor what the original author wanted with the map and
not gonna change it.

i would still consider trying to move the upper teleporter exit back a bit so that there arent quite as many immediate options to escape (you have 4 choices - back thru tele, toward mid, toward RL or toward EB, which imo is too many) perhaps by setting the tele exit back a bit, it would force people to move forward more if they want to go toward EB or RL?

i'd rather set it forward, cuz this +back thorugh tele is still

What I meant was to move the whole teleporter back, not just the
exit.
I think 2 way teleport is nice, but I like the idea that it would
be harder to abuse repeatedly :)
