Bot difficulty

I'm wondering what makes the hard bots harder than the easy bots. Is it just that they have a higher chance of hitting you? Do they move differently? Do they have more powerful weapons or are they less susceptible to damage?

Also, are the hard bots difficult for good players? I'm a noob, and they seem pretty rediculous to me, so I'm just wondering if they're like that for the better players.

I think they just hit more... I'm not sure. But that is what my experience is.

It really is just their accuracy. Warsow's botcode is really bad in general. If you play against medium bots, you'll notice they have the hardest time hitting you if you stand still, but any time you walljump, you'll die.

Okay, thanks. What seems strange is that on hard, they can kill me with the shotgun with two hits every time no matter what, while I chase them around like an idiot hitting them 10 times and still not killing them. I know that getting close and a full hit matters with that one, but still.

Armor helps a lot. If I remember right, the more of it you have, the more effective it is. Also, strong ammo. The ammo boxes give you ammo which reduces spread and increases damage.

In general if you want a good opponent, don't play bots above 85 skill. They have unreal aim, nothing even close to a player.

Many players have better aim than these bots.

I don't know of a non-hacking player that has 100% eb accuracy.

Bots don't either if you stand still.

Yes and no. 85+ skill bots haven't impressive aim when it comes to lg, and their rocket play isn't good so aren't very good overall, but their rg/eb hit rate is really higher than most players, it's like 50% acc with eb, 40% rg or something with instant reaction time so sometimes you can experience quick-surprise-rape that can be frustrating

To me bots are in general easy, but it's nowhere like playing a human, it is a bit challenging at start, after 5-10 mins i get used to the ai, exploit them a lot, then i frag them a lot and get bored quite quickly
