Would you be willing to buy a signed copy of the soundtrack?
From what I've seen it looks like I'd have to raise the price at
least to $1000USD in order to do the vinyl. It costs $200-300 just
to make the lacquer to start the process, then you have to pay for
the vinyl itself, the color, the recording, and the sleeve + art.
It'll add up pretty quickly. If you guys say you're willing to
pitch enough for that, I'm willing to do it, but otherwise we may
have to pass.
That seems pretty unrealistic considering Warsow's small community,
unless we have some very generous donors.
some?

Might be a bit to hefty for me. I could probably go to like $50 or something :)
I would be interested in donating (for a disc copy).
How many tracks will be on it, just the ones released now?

I'm still working on getting the account verified. Hopefully it
won't be more than a couple more days.
you can get 100 vinyls made for 500€, if you can live with
whitelable, no cover nor colored vinyl. you might even find a cheap
way to get covers printed for much less than 5 bucks a piece. if
it's just about the gimmickines, though, which it is i guess, small
releases will cost you. considerring you are most likely going to
ship to europe, i'd consider a european fab.
btw, i'd be in on the bigvic model, if it wasn't for me being a cheap buzzard.
edit: who's listening to cd nowadays anyway?

Where did you find this 100 for 500€ deal? Most of the US sites
I've visited cost anywhere from $250-400 just to make the master
lacquer. After that the records themselves are fairly cheap, and
colored records aren't that much more expensive (maybe $1USD a
piece).
well, i'm not very knowledgeable about this stuff, forgot to
mention that was for 7". maybe i overlooked that you will need to
have a master made first, but if so i couldnt find the pricing
*shrug*. i just ran the price calculator for vinyl duplication here
flight13-duplication.com/index.php?id=60&L=1 and got 700€ for
100 12" at 33rpm.
but one 400$ lathe and 100 1$/pc. is 500$, too, so yeah

Yes. Most record pressing businesses also require a minimum amount
of records made. Most are at least 500. I've only found a couple
that will let you do any amount you want.

you can try and write them and ask to have less than the minimum made.

That's actually a really good idea. Thank you.
