try ping www.warsow-esport.net in command line while you lagging.:) probably U will see some troubles caused by your connection not by warsow client.

I don't know , because my friends play in IM Insta master and they aren't lagging , they live in the same city and building ^^ ( we're neighbor as I do and they've got the same router as me ... Just they've got a MAC ... :'( I don't know if it makes a real difference :o

Are you behind a Windows firewall? That sounds like it may be giving you some trouble. If you're behind a router and have antivirus software installed, you may as well just turn off the Windows firewall as it's nothing but an annoyance.

Try setting your IP as DMZ on the router so it ignores port blocking and gives you priority over other connections on the router, or set up port forwarding for Warsow on the router. I honestly don't know if this will help at all, but it's worth a shot.

When you do this, make sure you set it so your IP will always be given to your PC's MAC address, this way nobody will be able to accidentally use your IP address and take your forwarded ports list.

Check what the period of the lags are. If they are at regular intervals, it may be your wifi scanning for a new network. Sadly I think this is built into the windows wifi manager. Try a neat little tool called wlan optimizer to disable it.

http://www.martin-majowski.de/wlanoptimizer/

A small freeware tool for Windows Vista / 7 (XP with limitations) disabling the periodical background scan activity for wireless networks. It improves latency time of wireless connections. Hence it is useful for people with wireless connections getting lag spikes (especially during online gaming, audio and video streaming).

Also try to turn off Energy Saving on your Wi-Fi adapter.

1. Right-click the My Computer icon on the desktop or from the Start menu.
2. Click Manage.
3. Click Device Manager.
4. Click the + sign to expand the Network Adapters entry.
5. Right-click the wireless adapter and click Properties.
6. Click the Energy Management tab.

What router are you using, maybe try firmware update, I cad cisco crap froze all the time, then updated, now it freezes rarely.

Check your ping, fps and cpu and ram. (task manager)

Maybe your main-board is dying.

Also I don't quite understand. Does local game lag or is it mainly net?

PROTIP #2

DID YOU INSTALL DRIVERS AFTER U INSTALLED WIN 7 LOL

- i mean net drivers too. On XP I had exactly the same problem with my old computer

trust the CD's that came with your computer or wifi adapter not default windows shit.

EDIT:
PS oh shit 200 posts
