Ya, that's something that's worth thinking of, imo, but i'm not in dev team and can only hint them to think about it.

I had in mind something similar at a time, adding a push in the opposite direction of the opponent velocity, kind of introducing a "stoping" force to the kb. But your idea sound just as good

Dumbest thing I have ever heard. PG is already slow & weak like... yeah... new players struggle enough with it already. You want to nerf it even more? Projectile speed is now 2600 - it should be closer to 3000 tbh (with slightly lower damage perhaps).. just go have a look at new players playing.. they find it hard hitting with the slow PG, and thus end up either leaving OR stuck RL spamming..

Just... take off your duel & pro-gaming glasses and start looking around and ask yourself this question; WHY do new players leave so fast after trying Warsow? Ahh....

Just saying that cause Warsow was so popular before, full DM / TDM servers everywhere, but since the nerfing of all weapons & pretty much everything in the game after v0.4x its been no more... :/ :(

You didn't get my idea, or you've got it wrong. I don't want to turn W§W into CPMA. It's just that if they are abandoning the dual ammo system (and that's what ammomod is doing as far as I recon) they could at least take a time-approven one.

Also:

MG - 150 bullets max.
SG - 25 shells max.
GL - 25 grenades max.
RL - 25 rockets max.
PG - 150 cells max.
LG - 150 cells max.
RG - 25 slugs max.

And I really start tending over to the "2nd pickup of the same weapon = +1 ammo" idea.

What are you talking about? Really, compared to Quake Live's plasmagun for an example, ours is much easier to hit and superholyshit faster. It already causes ridiculously random endings for fights whenever used at close range with its 2.6k ups, god knows what it could do with 3...

PG is ridiculously strong at close range. Its easy to hit 40+ Acc with some aim, but its the best weapon to punish aimless +fwrd rl-rj-fags :) Dont nerf it

I said reduce damage as well... hello?

Buff speed, reduce damage = same TTK, just a little bit easier to hit.. :-)

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE AMMO WEAK FROM WARSOW... Is of the essence of the game! If you do that the DUEL and TDM will die and be just another game who tries to be the new QUAKE. COME ON GUYS, WARSOW IS WARSOW, AND THE REAL WARSOW HAS WEAK AND STRONG AMMO FOR A LIFE!

That's no excuse for the low popularity of the game is now. What the game needs is a few people working in marketing, put the blame on the system of ammo is easy, but completely wrong. Do not opt for the easiest choice, but do by the right! MARKETING FOR WARSOW 0.7 NOW, THAT´S THE WAY.

You could consider this a marketing move. The game was really complex, and the new system helps cater to a wider audience, newer players, and balances gameplay.

[sarcasm]ok, lets make warsow more easy and friednly for newbs:
- remove jumping/walljumping/dash
- remove RG, PG, GB, GL, MG
- make RL/EB/LG instant-hit as aGunGame
- remove ARMORS
- exact spawns of MH every 1 minute or 30 seconds

i guess it is gonna make Warsow really popular![/sarcasm]

p.s. F2 for dropping weak ammos.

from what i hear and what i've seen warsow is becoming better and better with every release, you guys are going in the right direction.
going simple n shit with the ammo system is good, warsow is hard to master with or without it

edit: as long as old movement never gets removed, everything is fine

This is the only marketing move I see. Its easy to identify by the bullshit tagged on the end. The truth is that it was a lazy change by a burnt out development team faced with yet more gameplay criticism - but it seems to have backfired - there is just as much if not more debate.

I don't see any radical backfiring or large amounts of criticism. Imo you mistake the wish for reality.

Man this is not a marketing move, if you don´t work or understand what really was marketing and how it works, please, dont talk shit here. We need more serious discussion on this forum about the future of this game, not just people defecating on the keyboard.

New players starts playing FFA, INSTA, etc... GAMEMODS that ammo system don´t cause significant influence or which are not part of mod. I play this game since the 0.1 version and i know what i´m talkin about. AMMO SYSTEM is the diference of WAR§OW DUEL, TDM and CTF for the QUAKE´s DUEL, TDM and CTF. If you want play Quake go to quakelive.com or download Q3CPMA.

A marketing campaign for release of version 0.7 is quite different than change the characteristics of game since it´s launch. Can be sure all here, take off this element that always distinguished the WAR§OW of other fps games (ammo system), "is to shoot ourselves in the foot".

Everyone here needs to understand that the game is beyond our personal preferences, this game has a story and a legacy is a tradition. Please respect this. and do not let their egos put this magnificent story gets lost in the sameness of other games that failed and had excellent work.

I'm calling bullshit. #1 TDM was only briefly alive in warsow (fragfest). #2 There hasn't been an active FFA server for years & newbies have barely ever played FFA in wsw in EU. I highly doubt you've been around since 0.1. And if you have been, you're still talking out of your ass. Also: very nice accuracies in your profile :o
