Promote in QL forum

OK, i think with the new patch of QL, many players are angry and frustrated, i can't register in QL forum to promote WSW, somebody can post there something about WSW??

Would do it, but then my acc probably will get banned by SyncError himself. And I need that acc to host cups for Quake Live.

Ye, they ban you if you do other games promotion. It can be mentioned in other threads, but you better don't open one just to talk about Warsow.

But is not nescesary be like a clown with drums to talk about wsw, we could give some sugestions of the game, say its free of pay etc, always talking about QL too, meaby some messages between the lines...

it's quite imposs to promote it on esreality, all the stubborn hardcore quake fans..usually wsw related stuff there ends up as negative promotion due to loads of rejecting and ridiculing comments

Nah farm it's not that bad, there are quite some people who aren't that negative about it. Well there is megaman3 still who tries to bash Warsow on any possibility, but he fails miserably.

PS . When 0.7 gets released I try to write to local computer magazine so they would make an article about wsw. I'm quite sure they will consider it.


ALSO @ criziz and dev team WRITE TO LINUX FORMAT magazine when 0.7 get released, they have done long articles about alien arena nexus n stuff.

I've always wondered why there isn't more linux gamers in warsow tbh. Open source shooters have good quality compared to other open source games and this game is top quality open source shooter, making it quite the best thing you can game natively on linux very objectively.

Well, though it's not opensource, HoN runs natively on linux as well. But otherwise yes, warsow is the best native linux game. Best opensource game on any platform.

I think a cash prize invite only tournament (online) could be quite interesting : you try and invite a selection of well known players from the greater dm community (qw,q2,q3,q4,ut being the obvious ones). Ofcourse, this would require some financial investment. The upside is that you market the game to warsow core market within a framework that is consistent with warsow competition oriented philosophy.

Warsow needs $ to promote the game... I think the best way is like US$ 15,99 for a premium accout, with new models, local server with stats... And a pro accout US$ 25,00 with more stuffs, this $ is just to use in marketing and promotion of the game...

Before you have this $ you could using in some actions...

A VERY big part of warsow is that it's free. The official team is not going to do anything that requires payment.

On the other hand, if someone planned out a major marketing campaign unofficially and did a kickstarter or who knows what else, that would probably be fine. I'm already backing the soundtrack, and will try to do some promotion on my own.
