Suggestion: Announcer
I can't find a suggestion subforum so I'll just post this here.
Just some guy/girl to give you that extra boost of confidence upon doing something spectacular (eg. Double Kill, Accuracy), in the same vein as Unreal Tournament.
Obviously with an option to disable for those that don't want such a feature.
It's one of the few things I feel lacks from this game. Lacks is probably too harsh a word for something as unneeded as this, but it's my personal preference to have an announcer in these types of shooters.
Thoughts?

also it would be nice to be able to change announcers (like 0.6
one, new one etc.) in Menue.
Still its a "nice to have not needed" thing :)

Already upgraded voice... some bass is nice:

We intentionally decided not to have a low pitch voice like in UT.

I think it's the reason the new announcer sounds aren't very popular. But I like jehar as the new announcer and his normal-pitched voice, I think you've done the right choice

He's agreed to redo them. As is they're too slow and I can't speed
them up anymore without getting all kinds of unmanageable audio
artifacts in it.

Which timestretch are you using and how much faster do you want them? :)
You should be able to speed them up by about 20 to 30 percent without noticeable artifacts although the pacing and enunciation of the words wouldn't be the same as actually speaking them faster.
as a quick example, here's 'you are tied for the lead' 20 percent
faster, just done quickly in Sound Forge 9 which has pretty old
timestretch algorithms

Bit of an artifact around the 'eye' part of tied, but not too bad.
SF 10 has the elastique algorithms which should be way better. Maybe i'll upgrade and see :)

Yes. I've used at least 20 different algorithms on each one between
10 and 30%, also some variable timestretch, and only a couple of
them were satisfactory for me. If this was Xonotic maybe it'd slide
to have sub-par audio, but not in Warsow.
