Lagging only on Warsow
Hi everyone !
I'm Warry (also seen as wsw-fr|Warry') and I come to you, dear players to try to solve a problem.
I just came back on the game after 1 years of afk and I still have a major problem that affects my passion for the game : Internet ! Actually, I have a normal connection, not a very good, but not a very bad either. And on all other games I play (LoL, Sc2, ...) I have no problems with it, BUT on Warsow I have some high ping that I rarely have in any other situation. It can be from 200 to more than 1200 ms. It's very strange, cause it happens when I'm the only one using Internet at home and I close every programm that could use it, but anyway, I have that horrible lags that just make me feel bad :(
Once again, it happens only on Warsow and I don't know why. So please, help me cause I really want to come back here and play Warsow !
If you need any other information please tell me !
Warry !
PS : My config
Windows 7 x32
CPU : Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo T5800 (2 GHz)
RAM: 3 Go memory DDR2 at 398.99 MHz
Graphics : NVIDIA GeForce 9200M GS

what is your network interface card? do you use Wi-Fi? Do you has
same problem on the local server?
Ping isn't really directly related to other programs, its related
to distance. The server list doesn't sort by ping, so that could be
part of it. Or there could really be a problem, but I'd make sure
nearby servers work well first.
My guess is it would be the server you're connecting to is far from
you.
Try speedtest.net to check your internet speeds.

Thanks for answers !
It acctually can happen on any server, even on a French server (where I live).
The reason why it's strange is that it doesn't always happen, but when it does, I can't play anymore.
I'm actually using Wi-Fi, and after I tried not to be on Wi-Fi, this happens anyway.
This is my test on SpeedTest.net :

That's slower than 69% of France. That's probably slower than 90%
of our players, even.
Iirc Windows scans for wifi networks once every minute, which does
cause lag spikes unless you disable it (google).
It's every 45 seconds, but it shouldn't cause spikes like that. You
can try WLAN Optimizer instead of Windows' crappy wireless network
config.

i fixed that, in the past, by reformatting windows :--D But i
wouldn't suggest that to you...
Sorry for the up, but I kinda found a solution, so it may help
other players !
What I did is that I just updated my "wi-fi card" drivers and from now on it seems to work perfectly !
Ths everyone for help anyway :)
