Yeah r_gamma abuse and a custom made HUD that times items for you is the same thing :>

Huds should be removed completely. This would allow you to develop some very interesting skills:
- Listen to your pain sounds to approximate your health.
- Determine your team by firing a laser gun.
- Count your ammo's manually.
- Drop the flag to see if you had it.
- Spam F2 because somebody might be trying to kick you.
- Open the Warsow website on a second monitor to see if you got any awards.

I rewrote code using more simple logic.

It works both cg_showTimer 1 and 3.
If you don't like that optional clock, just type "cg_showPickup 0" on console.
