*BETA 2*

Includes all autoupdates up to this date, new libs and bins with bugfixes. Unzip into your 1.1b folder, overwriting existing files.

Thanks for tons of fixes!

I've noticed you made a work around on different TP's eye fov while zooming/not zooming. It looks like you have switched the fovs. W/o zooming you see lesser then zooming. Imho it does look a bit weird. Take a look on 1st screenshot: it seems that GA is a lot closer then it actually is. While zoom gives you more truthful picture (2nd picture). Is it possible to have one stable fov in both cases?

It wasn't question of wanting, projects between 2008 and 2010 are not compatible, also compilers behave differently so this needed quite a bit of migration work which it was postponed for next "major" release (1.1) and not for minor 1.0x release.

In short: no.

try mirrors too

Mirrors actually preserve the player's FOV. Portals now display at fixed fov of 90.

In fact, I think I'm going to restore the way portals worked before 1.1b2. It's been the same since 1999 and I think I now regret making this change.

well, if there is no way to make fixed fov on portals while zooming, i would better see pre1.1b2 mechanic too. at least it is more useful and logical.

actually previous behavior was correct because portals are not supposed to be screens but rather holes in space. but it would be handy to have surfaceparm to make their fov fixed in case you actually want to put its picture on screen

I've met this bug once more. Was the fix reverted or just didn't come to 1.1?

I'd need a demo at very least. Even in that case I doubt I'd be able to fix it.

Anyway it's next to useless to report map bugs: there's no one to fix them.

Well i don't know if its a map-bug. Are gametype-machanics that closely tied to a map?

well, changing POVs works on a first "demojump -X" try, but not on the second and following tries - it happens the same bug as it was earlier in pre1.03!

Upon starting i get this:

I think CreateSemaphoreEx was introduced in Vista.
and once wsw started:

It works fine btw. Just no UI.
