Alright sorry, it happens that ATI does not like hotlinking to their drivers.

Sorry I haven't responded for a while but I found out that vista won't let me upgrade my opengl driver so i'm gonna just roll back to xp(which I prefer neway) ;) Thanks for the help though! ^_^

Whycome there isn't a simple FAQ section on the download page that informs of this issue with Vista (non-Ultimate)? I'm running Vista Premium and having to dig through troubleshooting just to find the statement "If you’re using a Windows Vista version, you ought to know that Vista is the only operating system to support DirectX 10 right now, but it doesn't support OpenGL at all at the moment of writing." is a bit irritating for being so out of the way and me going through the whole install without knowing this prior since your page officially shows the download for 'Windows' as simply "Windows" leading one to assume its compatible with Vista.

hey! im getting failed to load opengl32.dll to.

directx is updated
opengl32.dll is in warsow file and in c:\windows\syst... to

pc is a : intel p4 1.70ghz, 256mb ram, nvidia riva tnt2 model64/model64pro, winXP

im searching for new drivers to this graphics card, if anyone know where to find them or if you think the problem is something completely difrent please say so.

* so i found drivers at nvidia page but cant even install them , they are the correct drivers to the graphic card but it says the hardware could not be found :o
anyone knows a third party driver to this card, or someway to resolve this ?

lots of games don't work with vista, but are listed as "windows".. by lots, i mean all =].

and the troubleshooting page is essentially an faq.

press ctrl+f then type in vista and search for quick results lol.

I never said there weren't, read again. The point was that if there is an obvious incompatibility, then the wsw team 'ought' to atleast have the courtesy to inform any common user with a faq located in plain site, ie) download page. Did you read the whole part where I said it was out of the way and I wasn't informed prior. You think everyone goes off and reads the forums before installing a game that appears compatibile simply based on the labels of its download? I'm not a Vista advocate, but I have to use it on my laptop, and I don't keep up enough to know which games are or are not compatible. I think dev's should easily be able to give some sort of forwarning without making us have to dig for it. Thats all I'm saying.

Hi guys ^^ i'm a little new here... downloaded wsw today, found the error today, searthed about 3-4 hours for an answer today and begged like a silly cow my computer 7 times... and then the light come... i saw this webside and WOW! JUST WHAT I WERE LOOKING FOR !:D this is just the place i were looking for... thank you HiTechGod! sooo... many of your links 'n' all were for XP... ya got any for Vista?

i also have this error,
machine is an acer laptop with ati radeon mobilty 9700 with the newest omega driver ( view the dxdiag )
i tried to set the windir to \system32\ and also tried weird tips like copying the opengl32.dll into the warsow folder,
none works

4 year old driver + warsow .32 = works fine
4 year old driver + warsow .41 = crashes (alot)
omega driver + warsow .32 = opengl32.dll error
omega driver + warsow .41 = opengl32.dll error

i found a tool that modifies the original catalyst drivers to work for the mobility cards aswell.
so with this modified catalyst 8.2 it works nice

I'm terrebly sorry, but i didn't get much of what you said there... ;) i'm not so good at the .xl/.dll/.zf language if you see what i mean ^^ anyway where did you get that tool? Is it a free download?
