question : making a admin/rcon untouchable by votes ?

im getting really sick and tired of these situations like followed :

im testing my scripts and programs on my dev server
when im in the server testing shit out , once in a while some guys join in the server and immediatly kickvote me.
offcourse with 3 players 2 votes is enough , so i get booted, ofc via rcon i will kick their asses afterwards also yes, but i would like to be unkickable on my own servers, i havent look really into the cmd's.
Does nyone know if this is even possible ?

and yes setting a passw is another option, but i dont want to type in a pasw everytime i connect

if u set a pw and use a server browser such as hlsw to join ur server u don't have to type in the pw!

In terms of making urself unkickable I would have thought there is a cfg setting for turning votes off or at least increasing the % required for vote to pass!

yes, but the case is,
i dont want to disable voting, changing the % required is a option tho, but still, is there a way that you can "authorize" yourself to the server, and make that slot untouchable ?

I had the same problem, so I killed voting. What I was doing is I have several keys bound on my keyboard

One key was rcon password
The second key was rcon status (grab the bastards ip)
The third key was a kill server command ( Yes, a bit much but, BS if Im getting kicked from my server!)

I banned the SOB (from the rcon status I took) and brought my server back up. It happened so many times I said screw it, no vote on kick.
Pretty sad kids these days. :)

On another note, Once, I tracked the bastard down on another server and kicked voted him off the server. Seems he\she was not well liked at that server either. Childish, yes. Fun, ...hell ya.
